Anybody have info as to what other seat may fit into a 1980? Preferably bucket seats

Honda Prelude. Almost a bolt in. I drilled a few holes to mount them. I think they are mid 90's.

90s Honda civic and acura(if your looking for bucket seats)work for the front, just have to make extension brackets for the back.

The threaded inserts are spaced differently depending on whether yours came with a bench or buckets.

I tried 2nd gen 4Runner SR5, 87-91 Camry, and 85? Cressida seats. None bolted in. I ended up making plywood adapter plates for the Cressida ones.

This question gets asked a lot, and is one of the easier things to search for before making a new thread. You should do that.

Hmm...I'm trying to figure out why those seats look familiar, but I just can't quite put my finger on it...

I didn't need to do any drilling, in the floor of my 78. But I was going from buckets to buckets. I just took the seat tracks off my OEM buckets and put them on the Honda seats. I had to drill one hole in each OEM track, but that was it. The width of the track spacing was the same. So four holes total, in the seat tracks, no new holes in the cab, and perfect fit. I was (and still am) really happy.

Mine was a bench seat, so I had to drill holes.

I'm not sure what mine has originally, but it has some poorly swapped VW seats when I bought it and they were trashed. I picked these up from CL for $30. supposedly from a mid 80's Toyota truck. does anyone recognize them? know the year? I was not able to reuse the original seat rails so I was forced to drill new holes.

they are comfortable

I could be wrong, but if those are from an 80s Toyota truck, they were from an 80s Toyota truck that swapped them in from some other vehicle.

I know far from everything, but I've had a 78, 83, 86, 87, and 92, plus been in a lot of other years, and I've never seen a seat that was even really very similar to that style.

Yeah, I'm gonna agree with 83 and say that's not from any Toyota IMO. That fancy little embroidery on the headrest doesn't scream Asian decent to me. Even if they were recovered I can tell you it's definitely not from an 84-88 toy mini/4runner. The side plastic looks totally different on an OEM seat.

I'm not an expert on the 79-83 mini truck buckets. Even though I currently own an 81 it's got bench seats, and the last first gen truck I owned was over 15 years ago.

They definitely aren't 79-83 buckets.
