4crawler TPS different than FSM??

I have a 1986 22re/rte FSM.

The chart on checking the TPS is the same as 4crawlers page...however the method for setting it is completely different.

FSM says with 0.47mm feeler gauge turn till deflects...
4crawler says 0.85mm....

I have an idle problem and when set per the FSM the TPS is not in spec but when set per 4crawler it is...

what is going on? is the FSM wrong?

How is it "not in spec"? The adjustment of the TPS is just to assure IDL is closed at idle, and open "as soon as" the throttle opens. http://personal.utulsa.edu/~nathan-b...34throttle.pdf Frankly, I can't imagine that 0.38mm (about 1/3 the thickness of a dime) on the throttle would make a noticeable difference.

I've referenced the '93 manual; do you have a manual with a significantly different procedure?
