Hi to all of you, I've suddenly developed a loose gear shifter, it moves L to R especially in 3rd to Drive, have to hold it to the left to keep it in 3rd and it no longer feels like it settles into its notch. Still shifts thru all the gears automatically depending on speed hills etc. So far I've removed all the center console covers down to the shift lever guide housing itself and can see only thing that doesn't look right is this flat metal piece with a hooked end sticking out from the ecu unit. I haven't taken the shift lever nut and shift lever lock pin off yet to remove the top of the shift lever guide housing to see what might be causing this looseness and not settling into the notches. I'll include some pics of the hooked metal piece and a link to the repair manual from another site, if anyone has dealt with this before I would appreciate any help you can give me.
