mini truck~lowered to small lift
I bought a 92 mini truck for $500. the kid that had it before me slammed it. he put it back to stock height, but I need it raised up another inch or so for more ground clearence. I'm not looking for the offroad look, I just need the truck up higher for when I visit farmers I wont get stuck in the mud (it's a 2wd truck)
I think I can get the height I'm looking for if I mount the axle under the leaf springs inseat of having the leaf springs go underneath the axle.
This didn't seam too complicated in theory, but under inspection, I noticed that there is a pad made on the bottom of the axle so the leaf spring is not mounted to a round surface. Should I just flip the axle over so the pad is now on top?
On the front I'm thinking of just tightning the torsion bars to even out the stance of the truck.
think this will work? I'm not looking to spend much money on this pickup since my 4runner is getting a new heart

yeah I don't know what I was thinking then. will the 4wd axle change the gearing? the truck is a 92 2wd 22re 5spd. I have no clue what the rear end is geared at.
I just put new rims and tires on it as well as retrofiting air shocks (truck came with no shocks for that mini truck bounce
) and I noticed that there was only the main spring, not the usual 3 
So I'll head down to the pick a part and see if there is a truck with a good set of springs, this could do just the trick.

i think 2wd trucks had 3.90 gearing for the most part...can't remember though, it's been a while since i sold mine.
a 4wd axle won't work. they're 6-lug, and i believe are a different width so i don't think the 2wd 5-lug shafts would fit it
an add-a-leaf might work in a sprung under axle. for a 2wd lift, i'd probably just get blocks for the body for fitting some bigger tires
