22re performance head vs engbldr head or any other

Time to rebuild my 88 2wd daily driver looking to buy a new head. 22re performance takes the new head and installs new hardened powdered exhaust seats is this really something that should be done to get a head that will last or should I buy a bare head and build ?

Depending on you budget. You can buy complete heads just about any way you want from engnbldr. I have never dealt with 22r but the customer service at engnbldr can't be beat. Free shipping in lower 48. Other will give you their opinion. Hope this helps

I want a head that will last 150,000 to 200,000 mile and not go bad at 25,000 .Is that asking to much for a new head on a rebuilt motor?

Both should last a good long time if you keep up with your oil changes and tune up's. call engnbldr and call 22r. You will find engnbldr is probably easier to get a hold of from what I hear.

I have called and talked to ted at engbldrs and it seems to be a pretty legit setup. Very easy to talk to them and figure out what you want/need. Out the door prices are pretty good and I only hear good things about the product and service. I will be a customer of theirs very soon.
