Anybody know what exactly comes in this kit for the 22re (oe part0411135360) For a complete overhaul/rebuild are there any additional gaskets/seals/o rings I will need to purchase separately. This will be a direct from Toyota set. Also, can't seem to find a part number for the hex bolt on intake manifold. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

 

the gasket kit comes with every gasket for an engine rebuild. This kit is the only way to go. mine wasn't missing anything.

 

Does it come with any seals or o rings?

The only thing I can think of right off that I have had to get on each rebuild is an injector seal kit. If you get them from a parts store, you will need to get 4 seal kits, one for each injector. I have found them on ebay for the same price and they come with screens for the injectors. You wont get the screens from the parts store and you don't really need them. Part store or ebay, the kit is about $16 for a full set. Other then that everything is there that I can think of.

I don't have any suggestions for the hex bolt other then Toyota or the boneyard.

 

Got my oem gasket kit. Only one exhaust gasket? No oil pump housing o ring. Got three mystery stainless steel washers about the size of a dime. Also a thick rubber o ring/seal thing about the size of a ilver dollar. Oh, and only one injector grommet. Also got either a crank or cam seal not Sure which one. Wish Toyota would include an inventory sheet with it. I can post pics if anyones interested.

 

Any recommendations on sensors I should consider replacing while I'm there? 89 22re with 189k.

 

I got a fel-pro set and there was a list of what the parts are for. My kit was for different years and some parts were for other rebuilds from what I can tell. Unfortunately I did that two years ago. When you remove parts look for crush washers that may come out, for example there may be one above the coolant bypass tube and under the header.

 

Ya I've been looking. Even brought parts to my machine shop whos doing my head in hopes they would know. No such luck. We got a local Toyota mechanic who is top notch, might see if he'll take a look. Anyone know of a way to upload pics via android?

 

Thick rubber o ring thingy = oil cap gasket. Smh.
