Where did you get the cupholder? Replaced the black insert or replaced the whole console?

I would still relocate those console switches. Toyota put them where we're surely gonna spill our drinks.

It is the heater delete center console (wanted more storage and no leaks), and its actually a cup holder from a Dodge Durango grafted in to the change tray on the Toyota center console. Im super happy having a decent sized cup holder now.

Looks pretty clean. Mind detailing how you went about doing this?

Took my time with the Dremel till i had the bottom of the change tray removed and parts of the sides that pinched the cup holder. took a razor blade to trim down the cup holder sides and bottom of the lip on it. Filled in the gaps with epoxy, sanded smooth for a clean look then dyed black for a uniform finish.

only really took me about 3 hours to complete it, took about two weeks to get all the parts off ebay.

Oh man. I need to do this! Toyota was NOT thinking when they designed these cup holders... The size is fine, for me it's the stability that is the issue.. good think I can drive with only one hand on the wheel.....

Exactly, Gevo.
Mine's (1986 first-gen) making slow progress... (here)
Need to learn Fiberglas work, if I were to make it look pretty.

Nice! Except, putting an open mug in the cup holder.. I imagine you can't really drive that way??

Also, I have the rear heater which I leave the valve for it cracked open just a tad bit so the antifreeze doesn't sit in the core and eventually harden and clog up like it was before.... which means that area gets pretty warm.... I guess some insulation would help if i get to it.
