Stock 1982 4x4 truck rim size?

I am most likely buying a 1982 4x4 longbed tomorrow. It comes with eagle alloy rims which measure 15x10. My plan is to get rid of the alloys and get some stock steel rims and fit them with some narrower tires. If I must use the alloys, I would like to get something narrower on them. They come with super swampers, which I don't much care for or want to use for their intended purpose.

My question is how wide the stock rims are so I know what dimensions to potentially provide a used tire company, or to know where the existing rims are at in the width range in case I can to fit the kind of tires I want to the existing rims.

Also, if anyone here knows where I might find a stock set of painted steel rims, preferably 5 so I can mount a spare, it would be greatly appreciated. I could not find stock toyota 4x4 steel rims on any craigslist in my region or e-bay. With how many people upgrade the wheels of their offroad machines, I'm very surprised that none turned up.

Joel

I'm in central NC. I once bought a set of aluminum camaro rims on ebay for an s-10 I had. I don't remember the shipping being a lot of money.

Good to know that the rims I'll be getting have a much bigger width than stock.

I'm in eastern wv. I like my rims especially with 33x12.50s on them. Makes them closer to a 10.50 wide and tucks under the fenders good!

When I got the camaro rims, they were just stacked up inside a cardboard box. I don't think much harm could come to some steel rims stacked up in a box either. You just want to try to tie them up in the center and wrap 'em in cardboard and slap a shipping label wherever you can. I don't think I'l be through WV anytime soon, unfortunately.

How much you willing to pay for 4 wheels with original metal center caps.

I don't know what they're worth, assuming they're straight. I paid $80 in 2004 for the aluminum camaro rims, and I wish I knew what the aftermarket aluminum rims I'm getting are worth. I was going to try to sell those for $250 (one of them needs replacing, the other 3 are supposedly 50% tread according to seller.) We'll probably need other members of this forum to chime in to find out what a good price would be.

Let me be frank, I don't much care for the center caps. If they are special, the can probably be sold by themselves for whatever somebody is willing to pay. I am after a simple set of stock steel rims only, and don't much care if center caps are included or not.

OK bud. I'd say wheels only for 100 plus the ride?

Let's clear up the deal. I would like to have 5 rims if possible. Do you have any photos you can post of the rims? I want to see before buying if possible. Do you have paypal?

I got the truck today, and boy these super swampers have GOT to go! They vibrate like crazy anywhere over 25 mph especially when decelerating.

Got photos of the rims? Maybe we could figure out how much shipping would cost by weighing one.

I'm having a heck of a time finding them, what search keywords are you
Using?
Edit: I think I found it. The listing with the black and white illustrations of several types of wheels. I think mine would be #8. If that's $125 per wheel, that's $650 for a set of 5!

those center caps are actually useless without the steel wheels that go with them. the factory plain wheels did not have the provision to snap the hub cap too. you have to have the wheels specific for the hub caps.
