tube bumper for ROLLER fairlead xrc8 winch

Hey guys Im going to throw on a winch and bumper to my truck but I cant seem to find a tube bumper that I can buy that takes a roller fairlead. All the vendors say their bumpers take hawse fairleads only. My problem is, I dont want synth line, and Im decided on getting a xrc8. (I know I can find someone to fab me a bumper on craigslist, but I want to get one that has been proven and will line up sexy).

Anyone have experience with a good tube bumper that will take a roller fairlead?

The only solution Ive found is to buy a steel hawse, But I really dont want to spend more than I need to.

I believe Mark (I think that's his name) has a tube bumper with a roller fairlead. I remember in his build him pointing out this bumper is for a hawse fairlead

You can use a roller fairlead with Addicted Offroads and 4XInnovations bumpers.

Im running a steel cable with a steel warn hawse fairlead, works very well and helps keep the approach angle down. I kept smashing/denting the rollers up too much.

AH cool. Im want to get something locally so I dont have to pay for shipping but my 4x4 shop only carries the TG bumper. I may just get a hawse fairlead.

Any other bumpers you guys know of that take a roller?

ARB bumpers also take a roller, but youll have to make sure you winch fits in the bumper.

Is this close to you? https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f109...-mount-283285/

You could also have the local shop build you a bumper off the TG winch plate...?

Red face

Your going to pay at least $650.00 to $1000.00 to have one made

That is what I charge for most.

X2. Either shop around for something like that or be prepared to shell out the dough. New ARB's are like 1300.

Warn makes a cast steel Hawse fairlead specifically for steel cable.
Roller fairleads are ugly. Buy the warn fairlead and throw the roller junk in the trash.

For that ARB bumper, it says its for 89-97 but was on an 88 4runner. Would I have any reason to worry about fitment issues with my 86?

86 and 88 would be the same body style.

Yeah I guess there is something that gets in the way of the bumper on 86-88 trucks where the bumper mounts but can be easily removed. I heard there are some are instructions floating around but I haven't found them yet.

Plus the roller fairlead on a T-G mount will not allow the use of the center 2" mount below the winch plate. My bumper is based on the same T-G mount
