So went to store and when i pulled into parking lot and got out left truck idle while i ran in and when i got back outside i could hear a lound grinding sound from motor turn off truck and back on was quite for about 20 sec and its back lound grinding sound. On the way home i had no power steering and batt light comes on when i turn to the left. Ok so I found out the problem. Did some research and found some stuff on harmonic balancers. So I had to go look and sure enough loose real loose. Removed the belts. And it was just hanging, but the bolt is tight. Can i just get a new HB.

Yes, you will need a new HB, IMHO. Also, the timing belt (TB) will need to come off so the crank gear can be pulled so the key can replaced (it's mangled in pic 1).

Might just be a good time to do the TB, etc. if it's getting close to the next change interval.

Not cheap.

For that kind of money, I'd consider a salvage yard.

I think you'll need to carefully examine the key-groove in the crankshaft. It it has been banged up, the key won't fit tightly, and the wobbling of the crankshaft pulley will quickly loosen everything.

Good luck!

Some have purchased the non-OEM HB from RockAuto.com in the past. It's $161 + shipping.
