tube doors street legal?

anybody ever get pulled over for having tube doors i know jeeps can obviously do that because they are removable from the factory but i really dont feel like putting doors on the truck just to drive into town or on the way to an event, they are convenient when hitting the trails

Vehicle laws vary widely state by state. You need to look up your state's vehicle codes.
That being said, I've never heard of any state having laws about doors.
I've ran tube doors in CA, TX, and AL. Vehicle codes in those 3 states never mentioned anything about "doors." The only thing I needed to watch out for was mirrors and that was in California. They required 1 side view mirror as well as the rear view. Here in Texas, I only need the rear view.

Time for you to do some research.

I have been running tube doors in Arizona for about 4 years and never had any issues. Before I ever hit the streets I put small mirrors on each door just incase.

This varies state by state, as I've stated.

i think they justify the "no doors" ticket because there's no lip to catch items from rolling out at the bottom of the cab like there is on an FJ40/Heep

Do you REALLY want to drive with no mirrors though? just because you can, doesn't mean you should. its like 25 bucks to setup some mirrors from autozone. might as well.

I meant that in relation to your statement about "doors AND mirrors."
Have you ever looked up the laws about "doors" in EVERY SINGLE STATE?
I was just hoping to correct your over-generalization.

I've driven without side view mirrors for thousands of miles. It's not that big of a deal. I use my rear view mirror most even when I have the real doors/ mirrors on.
