Ok so after about 2 hours of fighting with these springs, its finally done! I started at 31 3/4 inches from the floor to 35 inches even after, adding 3.25 inches.
I went ahead and added the front jeep springs instead and cut them at 13 inches from the original 18 inches, the rear are 14 inches but just didn't like the way they narrow on side and cutting the would have cause me to just open them too much that and I didn't have a torch to open those instead as someone else here did.


the space between my bump and bump stop was only about 1.5 inches!!!


I took a grinder with a metal cutting wheel to cut the springs and used a spring compressor to fit the springs. I did remove the rear shocks to get extra clearance and used the factory jack to jack the leaf spring from the frame to get even more room.


No more jumping out of my seat on bumpy roads! Overall easy, you just gotta be careful with what youre doing. highly recommend!

they came off a 2010 jeep wrangler rubicon. got them for free a buddy at work that had them laying around. I do have the part number in case you want it

Looks good! I'll be doing this mod in a few weeks...but probably with the Black Magic springs.

I noticed I have the same rims as you....what size tires are those? Just trying to picture how mine will look after the mod with 31's.

Congrats!! It does look great. I myself like the "Black Magic springs"(2.5" inside diameter x 14 inches long) but they require cutting most of the upper steel stopper off which is not a prob for someone with a cutting wheel or cordless sawzall.

If you now notice a bouncy ride then that's because your shocks were always bad but you could never tell because the leafs have always been resting on the overload thick leaf. But you should enjoy at least 10 years of good consistent lift with a soft ride.....and some decent payload ability now. ZUK

+1 on Black Magic Springs if one does not have time to search or wait for good deals on used springs.
+1 on getting good shocks. Very easy to remove and replace.
+1 on sweet ride for 10 years! By the time my Black Magic springs wear out, I would have saved enough for an OME upgrade

nah, the rear was really low before. It just leveled up to the front, I didn't even adjust the torsion bars.
