looking 4 U bolts

1988 pickup

Hey guys, so my truck had a leaf added in the rear when I bought it and the U bolts were maxed out. I added another to the pack and am having trouble finding a reasonably priced 1" longer u bolt set. Ebay has block and bolt kits for 1" but they're $65. No local stores carry them.

If you've found 7" long ubolts (or ones that will work for a 4 leaf + overload pack) point me in that direction!

Your local spring shop or a spring shop on line.

I am surprised none of the parts stores told you that.

Yah my dad gave me a local suspension shop to call. I'll try that today. I hope its cheaper than what scuba found. Thanks for the responses. I really thought an auto parts store would have em. I guess they only stock em for full size trucks.

Check General Spring there out of Kansas City not sure which side of the river.

thing is shipping can get expensive

Auto Parts stores as far as my experience never carry ubolts

I have to look I might have a extra set that I am not going to get around to using for quite a while.

I don`t know if I used one to make something or not.

that's not a bad price for custom U bolts shipped to your door (from Toytec) especially if it keeps you from running all over town looking to save $10

it is surprising that with all the modifications done to suspensions that something as simple as U bolts can be hard to find, especially since they are not supposed to be reused. I've had the same problem before.
