I have a 1992 Toyota pickup auto 4x4 I have no check engine light on but sometimes while driving my speedometer will go crazy up and down or just quit

 

Does it take out the cruise too? And the odometer?

Probably VSS1 in the back of the transfer case, which provides an electrical signal to the Combination Meter (cluster). They will slowly degrade (causing the speedometer to drop to zero for a few seconds, then pop back up), until they quit completely.

 

don't have cruise and don't no about the odometer like if im driving down the road at 55 and turn the single on to turn the speed needle will drop to zero also my tachometer doesn't want work
