My exhaust system rusted through. I am replacing the piping.
What do you guys recommend for gaskets?
I put it together and cranked the truck up, I still smell fumes in the engine compartment, not nearly as bad as before. I discovered while taking it apart one of the welds was broken. I no longer smell it in the cab which is a major improvement. I purchased the two rings that go between the pipe and the header.
I wanted to know if I could use something else also. Like a permatex brand or other brand gasket maker.
