i have a 1986 toyota pickup 22r 4x4 and it has bad white smoke coming out exhaust+antifreeze running out the exhaust manifold+ 2 cylinders full of antifreeze bc the spark plugs are covered in antifreeze no milky oil thou and it knocks like no tomorrow... what do i do and is it the head gasket? rod? or what?

At minimum a head gasket, maybe a new head. Get the head off and take it to a machine shop to have it pressure tested.

 

Avoid starting it until you check it out, would really suck to warp your heads or anything.

 

well started the tear down dont have head off but no oil and water mixture just antifreeze everywhere its in cylinders 3&4 and was pouring out exhaust most likly i need a new head right??

 

I had the same problem once and it turned out to be just the head gasket. I did however, have the head serviced while it was off. No problems with it; all the valves were good and no cracks or warps.

 

well this Is what I got a burn??? on block about 1/8 in deep and head is warped and burnt too(same depth) is pretty bad I need a new block or maybe something else I have no clue im at a rock and a hard place

 

Wow!!
Don't think you can deck the block enough to save it.
Head is junk for sure.

Both parts might be repaired with specialist welding and machine work,
but other parts could be got cheaper for sure.

 

well its been a long time but i finally got a head rebuilt and all brand new by a friend at a head shop also i had to get a newer block bc mine had a crack that we never seen untill i took it out and cleaned it but now here she is

Its the ford blue(I know I hate the name) paint from advance autopart... its in the truck just put it in 2weeks ago!!! I got 2000 miles on it and Black betty is alive!!!!!!!! Me and my father did the full rebuild!!!
