Source of oil leak on 98 4Runner V6 LTD

Hi All,

I recently found some oil spots on the garage floor and I am trying to determine the cause of leak. The spots on the floor are towards the front end center of the vehicle. Oil sludge appears on both the side of the engine block. I am not comfortable tackling the problem myself, just want to be a little more knowledgeable before taking to the mechanic.

Thanks for any input you can provide! I have attached some pics

Valve cover gaskets. they're actually really easy to replace. but if you're not comfortable with pulling the intake manifold off, then I wouldn't.

x2 Valve cover gasket. And, also worn out valve cover bolt grommets, and PCV valve grommet.

X3 valve covers. Just did my heads on v6 3vze and oil and sludge was everywhere in the compartment. After removing the upper air intake it was clearly the valve cover gaskets + a couple of really loose screws on them contributed I'm sure.
