did you properly set the TPS and AFM? They are adjustable and the TPS has to be set just so. There is a procedure to setting it up. I do not know it off the top of my head. maybe someone who does will chime in.

What you did is jumped the fuel pump part supply top the battery basically. The MAF sensor or AFM on these is the sensor that is in the metal housing on your air filter box. The fuel pump is engaged when you turn the key to start. But after the vehicle is started it depends on the AFM for its voltage signal. You more than likely just need a new AFM.

Could be a fuse or relay. I would check all fuses with a test light and try swapping around some of Relays behind the passenger kick panel. One of those relays powers a bunch of stuff with the key in the run position.

The AFM has a metal flapper door that opens when air blows through it. Try propping that door wide open then see if it will run.
