hella conversion but high beam indicator dim

Have any of you guys experienced this after a headlight swap? My indicator light is very dim nope, almost unnoticeable. Can I use resistors in the headlight socket that is unused or a wire patch to trick my system? I haven't tried, but I don't want to fry something in the process either.

I put a relay type harness in my '87 Runner and now my hi beam indicator is very dim, like yours. I think it has something to do with how the bulbs ground.
I like it though, I thought the indicator was too bright before.

I put a different relay harness in my '95 Runner that came from a different manufacturer, and it had some sort of module added to some of its wires that corrected this fault.
The indicator on my '95 remains bright after the new harness installation.

Interesting, I was under the assumption it was because only one of the sides of the headlight harness had a complete circuit.

Here is a link to the harness that I put in my '87.
The indicator dimmed as you say.

Here is a link to the harness I put in my '95.
It had the module installed that corrected the indicator dimming issue.
There is a diagram in the listing that shows the 'control circuit'

there is a relay or diode/resister needed to fix that.
