96 tacoma heating issues

So I bought a 96 Tacoma a few weeks ago and noticed that the heater wouldn't get hot, the blower works great tho, I started pulling the dash apart and noticed that the cable that is connected to the tempurature knob was disconnected at the other end of the cable not where it connects to the knob but the other end, anyone have any idea where that connects to?

More then likely the heater control valve, not sure on a taco. On my 96 4runner the cable from the heater control inside the truck runs all the way thru the firewall and to the valve. My valve sits in middle just above the engine mounted to the firewall has some hoses going in and out and a little arm for the cable to clip into.

That's where it is on a Tacoma.
