82 22r hesitates throughout power band
I have a 1982 4x2 with 288k miles, 5 speed manual. It was my everyday driver until about a month ago when purchased another vehicle to take its place...so I could start with my custom/resto work. It was running PERFECTLY when i parked it, I went out and started it up about once every two days and drove it about 10 or so miles. I had to go out of town for business for about 10 days and when I came home and drove it...it skips/hesitates throughout the rpm range. I drained the gas tank, replaced the fuel filter, replaced all of the vacuum lines, new plugs and wires, new ignition coil, new air filter. It is running somewhat better but i still have an annoying hesitation...where there was none before. The weather has gotten a bit colder over the past two weeks or so...but other than that nothing has changed from the time i left until I came home. Any ideas about a SIMPLE solution to this issue?

I'm thinking your truck is just jealous that you drive something else now instead of it. These things happen.
Kidding aside, as you know, this could be caused from many different things. I recently ran into something like this, and only after buying a rebuilt carb for $200, did it stop hesitating on acceleration. First I rebuilt the original carb which didn't do too much to solve my problem. Then I did what you did and replace the usual culprits, cap and rotor, plugs, vacuum lines, etc. I only noticed a slight difference before I bought my new carb after I replaced the vacuum advance unit. My truck is a complete different vehicle after replacing all of these parts. She drives like a champ with not the slightest hint of a hesitation. Hopefully you figure it out, good luck.

I didnt see it mentioned, so I'll toss it out there....
You did check your air filter/afm... right?
Never know... a couple cold nights and you could have have neighbors living in your airbox
