4Runner wont idle and chugs while driving

Hey dudes,

I am desperate for some help. I have recently had an ass full of problems with my 95 4Runner and I starting to get really pissed off. She has treated me right for three years and is suddenly dumping on me haha. Long story short I was driving to work this morning and it started chugging violently while in second gear. I switched to third and the same thing. It seemed to run half decent until i put my foot in it and put a load on the engine. It ran alright in high RPMs also. I made it into work (thank god I live 3 miles away) and it was idling all over the board, meaning high, low, high, low. It finally died. It threw anb engine code but I wont be able to read it until tonight. Any thought on the matter?

Here is what I have recently replaced because of other recent problems:

1 1/2 years ago - spark plugs, cap, and rotor

within the last month - maf sensor, spark plugs, coil, ECU, O2 sensor (only 1 because thats all mine has because it came from california), catalytic converter and muffler.

Any help would be amazing!!

I'm having similar problems with mine. Guy said he was driving to beach when same thing happened to him. It's not my daily driver so I haven't had to figure it out so I'm dragging my feet but look at my thread for some possibilities others have suggested. If you figure it out let us know and I'll do the same. No since in reinventing the wheel if we don't have to.

Is O2 sensor replacement Denso?

Is that high RPM in gear or rev?

Low fuel pressure
EGR

Check the distributor shaft for play.

Meter out the TPS.
