Drove an '03 v8 4-Runner today...

So here I was at the dealership cashing one of my free oil changes, An wouldn't you know that they had 4 '03 Runners sitting there. I went inside to find the general manager to give me the keys to one of them (I've said before that I have a very good relationship with my dealership).

He hands me a plate and the keys to a v8 Limited. First of all, this thing looked HOT! The colorkeyed package looks lots better than the grey fender flares. The interior is fantastic, fit and finish is top notch. ...and this thing goes. It is hard to say if it is faster than my supercharged Double cab, but it sure has some STINK. I didn't dare take their truck off road, but it is great on the streets. It is very comfortable and handles well. I am very happy with the overall package. I heard all the grumbling in here, but now that I have seen and driven one for myself, I am impressed. Toyota really nailed this upgrade.

My wife drives a '95 Pathfinder, and sooner or later it will have served out it's life (she works only 4 miles from the house so the damn thing will probably last forever). When it is time to replace the Pathfinder, there will be a new 4-Runner parked in my driveway.

I only saw one drawback with the Limited I drove today... It was almost $41,000. OOOOUCH!

sweet. some good news about the '03. it doesnt look GREAT, but it is a toyota so i am sure it is a very good vehicle.

i also have a good relationship with the dealer. i test drove my truck a bunch of times .. by myself... im 16 so i thought that was kind of wierd that a parent didn't have to go with me. but i dont know if they would like it if i showed up and asked to drive a 2003 silverado quadrasteer. haha. (its a GMC dealer so no new 4runners)
