82 axel or locking hub problem?

my 82 sat for...maybe 6-7 mths, drove her today...@60 mph,in 2wd drive on blacktop. i heard a dull thump, the truck started pulling hard to the passenger side, followed by a humming sound while rolling.
i stoped, checked to see if the hubs had maybe in lock...they were both free, inspected the axel...everything looked normal.
i drove home maybe a mile at 20 mph,low humming sound, tested brakes to rule that out.
got home....nothing feels hot, both hubs are alittle warm.
the faster i go...louder the hum.not slowing the truck down, she will coast just fine.
after the initial pull to the left,at 20mph she steers normal.
hum is there on gas,off gas...as long as its rolling.

thanx

Ya check your r & p? Take off your knuckles...using the camp method pull the birds and pull the third member. That's where I would go next. And getting in there will allow you to remove those crappy axle seals and put some bad ass marlin axle seals in there.

The reason I say remove using the camp method is for ease and then you done have to re set up your knuckles

Sorry typing on a damn iPad it's camo. Apple just thinks I don't know what I talking about. Search on YouTube, wheeliepete has a good explanation of the process. Just type in camo method. And removing the third is really not that hard. And when working on trucks you can always upgrade stuff. Got to draw the line somewhere

Could also be wheel bearings. The initial hard pull makes me this wheel bearing, possibly trunnion or blown brake line. Since you checked brakes I'd think bearings next.
