Exclamation 86 pickup no spark

so i was driving and my truck died, figured out the timing chain had jumped and towed it home and did a new timing chain and water pump, still didnt run. redid the timing chain and still nothing only to find out im not getting spark. where do i start checking? replaced the ignition coil about a year ago so what else should i check before just wasting money and replacing stuff? i need this done!

To start, got power to ignition circuit?
Check if you have 12V on Black wire with red stripe (B-R) enclosed in yellow in pic below:

How sure are you that you used good ignition coil?

No spark out of ignition coil (before distributor) or no spark to spark plug?

Checked resistance of your high-voltage ignition wires?

Check resistance of signal generator (pickup coil)? 140-180 ohms

Many more to check...

I couldn't get a spark out of the old coil (got a new one) if I tested it properly. New coil and distributor cap 12v in ign coil.
