Possible bad air flow meter???

We'll I' think I've narrowed my rough idle on my 3.0 when hot down to my air flow meter. I noticed when the truck would began to run rough once warm I would mess with the AFM connection and it would effect the idle or kill the truck.

I thought it was the connection and replaced that with my old connection from my old engine. This did not help. I also tried to disconnect the AFM connection when running and truck would die within a few seconds.

Does this sound like I have a failing AFM to you guys?? It runs fine cold but once warm it has rough idle, runs rich.

Thanks, I'm hoping this is my issue. I found one on Ebay and just purchased it. Fingers crossed that it fixes my problem!

Well here's an update to my AFM issue. Turns out I had oil inside the circuit board of the AFM. I popped the black plastic cap off and oil everywhere!!! I used electronic spray cleaner and cleaned out all the oil. Truck ran like a charm after that! For about 2 weeks anyways.

Just this past weekend though it started hesitating and feeling like loss of fuel while driving. Replaced fuel filter but its still doing it. Only does it after about 10-15 minutes of driving. I'm thinking the fuel pump strainer maybe getting clogged. All this happened after taking it hunting and hitting bad bumpy roads. When we did the engine swap the mechanic said the tank was pretty rusted. Im gonna drop the tank and see what i find. Need to clean the fuel gauge anyways its not working probably due to the rust as well.
