Replaced my radiator today
Last night the wife and I went for a drive down the field road near our house. My daughters drive it during the week since I commute to St. Louis and drive the Corolla.
When we got back I smelled coolant. I checked under the hood and the top radiator tank had a small split in it on the front side opposite the return hose.
Thank God I found it when I did. I'm driving it to work Monday to get new tires installed. A blown radiator on the freeway in rush hour traffic would have sucked.
Be warned, if you have to do the radiator, the Napa replacement doesn't have the nuts welded on the brackets. Make sure you have replacements for the four mounting bolts and the four fan shroud bolts.
I think I'm good to go now. Monday, I'm getting four new Michelin LTX M/S2 tires in an LT265-75 16. They're 10 ply and warranted for 70,000 miles. This truck is easy on tires so they should last me to the 300,000 mile club!
