Hey there, I have been following the desmog thread and just started tearing into this project. Kawazx636 is using a 1983 and I have a 1982 so I thought this would have been a turnkey operation. In his parts list from LCE, I simply highlighted the parts and google searched them. I would then put the part in the LCE cart until I got them all and finally checked out. Everything smog related has been ditched and I pulled off the manifold (one broken bolt and another silicon-ed in but thats another thread) . The picture he posted of the manifold seemed different from mine and I thought I was losing my mind. The block off plate on his has 11 bolts and my manifold has 8. I checked on LCE and found 2 other plates offered; one in the 8 bolt and one in a nine bolt. Does anyone know why or what the difference is in these manifolds?
