cam and crank seal drivers?

cam and crank seal drivers?

I got the crank seal out last night and if i can ever get the cam sprockets off, im going to change the seals. I was wonder what people use to drive the new ones in?

Do you have the oil pump removed from the engine? http://personal.utulsa.edu/~nathan-b...118oilpump.pdf If not, I don't think any socket will fit over the crank shaft. You might have to fab-up something using PVC pipe (I've never done this, so I can't give you any sizes. But you'll report back the sizes and what you did, won't you?)

Do you have the valve covers off? The cams have a 27mm flat forged into the middle, where you can put a wrench to resist the torque on the cam sprocket bolts. (This is arguably better than holding the cam sprocket with a special tool; holding the cam sprocket transmits the torque through the knock pins and the sprocket.) 27mm is not that easy to find, but 1 1/16" is easy to find, and the difference is size is below what you can measure.
