99 SAS preparation and parts questions.

Okay guys I think it is time to do a SAS on the runner. I am good with mechanics but not with all the technical stuff regarding things like this. I need some help on where to get started with a project like this and what options I have as far as parts. My budget will be somewhere around the $4k mark. I am hoping to do a swap and some other small things to make the truck a little more trail capable within this budget. Can anyone help me with a general parts list and if I am anywhere near making this happen with the budget I have? If you need more info from me please let me know and ill get back to you ASAP.

-Cheers,
Travis.

Start by doing a WHOLE bunch of reasearch, here and on pirate4x4 (you'll likely find more there).

What kind of axle do you want to run?

What kind of driving do you intend to do with it?

How good are your fabrication skills?

What kind of width do you want on your axles?

What size tires are you planning on running?

What are you going to do with the rear suspension to match the height and performance of the front?

Just a few questions to ask yourself before you start. (and some info that would help us point you in the right direction)

As stated, know what you want, and research. I gathered info, folders, pictures on my desktop for 5 years. I finally could afford to SAS my 88. I know exactly what I need to do down to the last torque spec.
Travosa, give more specs to us on the vehicle. Call trail gear or a trail gear vendor. Ask Questions. I had good luck with Low Range Off Road, and InchWorm Gear.
Welcome bye the way and keep us posted.
