Seafoam engine treatment as a diagnostic tool?

Added seafoam to my brake booster line, smoked like cheech, but I notice smoke from the exhaust manifold at the head and at the connection to the tailpipe.

I imagine I should seal up those leaks...?

Seems like this could be a viable way to find said leaks.

Thoughts?

Ya, there is some funny videos on You Tube seafoaming rigs with exhaust leaks.
I seafoamed my rig once and it didn't really smoke that much.
Doesn't seem like it would work for everyone.

I wouldn't solely rely on it for detecting leaks. feel blessed it helped you discover those leaks. seafoam is not a diagnostic tool.

I have the same leaks and I found them thanks to Seafoam. That wasn't what I was going for by using it. I was doing a treatment to help clean out the engine and found the leaks in the process. It's a nice added bonus to find a leak by using Seafoam, but I woudn't use it for just that purpose.
