Egr block off procedures

I have a 1984 toyota pickup all standard. It has the 22r carb engine in it. I want to do the LCE egr block off plates. But what all do I need to do besides just blocking the egr holes? I'm also newer to the toyot world. So anything will help

I wouldn't go that route if you're running the stock carb. The stocker needs all that stuff to function correctly. I did it to mine and it ran like crap... That was until i bought a weber and offy intake. Now it runs like a raped ape.

So I guess I'll have to buy a weber. I bought the truck torn apart. So I can't find all the necessary parts and bolts. If I go the route of taking it off, does the eacv come off as well? It was all hooked up to the smog pump and I couldn't see a reed valve. So I figured that was it. Kinda lost on what to do at this point

When you put a weber on, you get rid of all the smog stuff and end up capping off the atuff you dont need. And i made my own block off plates out of some 3/16 steel to save some cash.
