hey guys looking to redo my shocks and springs and add about 4 inches of lift in the process. Have any of you had any luck getting this ride height using springs off of a different trck?

 

seems like a lot of guys have had good look relocating the rears up front and using 63'' chevies in the rear its no bolt on though . I have a 3'' procomp lift with 2 inch shackles and Its perfect for my 34'' swamper's .. im going with the 4inch trail gear kit hopefully soon but its no bolt on either I'll need to do high steer and everything at the same time .

 

Numerous lift options but putting +25 year old rears up front and 63" (too long) chebbies in the rear is just a bad idea. So many better options available.

For your truck look at OME kit or using something like the TG kit I sell.

I just got Wabbit to install in the rear, 4" springs with shackles and shocks, and it netted me a good 5". And Wabbit installed the longer shackles and Bilsteins with hoops in the front also. I can say I absolutely love these springs. I have about 1300 miles on them and they support my tools I use for work (about 400lb) and the ride is night and day different. I no longer have to ride with a mouthpiece to protect my teeth...

It's firm, but not bone-jarring like it was before. I ran my truck up the side of a loading ramp and got to the top(about 3ft) and still had some spring left.

I highly recommend the Wabbit TG springs and Bilstein shocks. But if you only want 4" of lift, get the 3" springs. The shackle will take it up another inch. It's not bolt on, but its a great system.

 

I have a 4" rancho/pro comp lift...fits 33s nicely. rides firm but i like it that way

 

thanks fellas! hey with with 3 inch springs and a set of shackles to put me up 4 inches will that require high steer? I plan on swapping over to a power steering unit and add a drop down drag link. Is this suffice?

 

If your talking about bolt on 3'' springs and extended shackles from pro comp or rancho then you wont need a high steer I would get the drop link though . I actually think your truck needs something like over 4'' of lift to even use a hi steer (i could be wrong ). Ive got three inch procomp set up on mine with 2 inch shackles and it rides pretty good compared to stock . I really want the 4'' TG set up wabfab sells but Im still $aving for it I only want it because I want more articulation so I can hit some of the easier rock crawling trails in the tahoe area . If you have the skills and tools to do the TG wabfab stuff including the hi steer then go for it but If your not a hard core wheeler and dont have the stuff to complete the install bolt on stuff would work fine for you

 

Thanks EFI85. i was planning on saving up for the wabfab kit. I got my yota for hunting, trail riding, wheelin, and crawlin. So spending a few extra bucks to bring her back doesnt bother me.
