IAmSuperBleeder - 2006 Tacoma Prerunner - build/mod thread

Thought I'd throw one of these together to post any updates on the mods I put into my 2006 Tacoma SR5 Prerunner.

Day I brought her home; bone stock with 60k on the odometer

First mod was getting the fog lights to turn on when I wanted them to be on, not just when the low beam headlights are on.

added a little cargo net in the bed; has became SUPER useful actually!

at the same time, also hacked up a full size Chevy bed mat to fit snugly in the bed of this truck

Decided the single din CD player I installed was too boring, so I changed it out for something else

Swapped the stock wheels and tires out for a set off an 06 Tundra XSP. Sure they're pavement pounders, but A) the truck is only 2wd after all, and B) they just look sexy in my opinion

Tore the cluster apart and changed all the LED's to blue, just to be different

Also changed the LED in the window switch

And in the shifter in the console

And a few lights in the clock assembly; the clock itself has yet to be modified... but it's coming, along with the AC controls!

Put some 7" monitors in the head rests. Not that anyone really ever rides in the back, but I got them for dirt cheap, so why not, lol

Put a black center console out of a 2012 in it. Part of my slow process to change the interior colors around some.

put a 1000 watt Sony Xplod amp and a Kicker CVT 10" in a modified box in it. It's not a pretty install to look at, but when the seats are locked back, nothing's visible anyway. It's STUPID loud for just a single 10"

Now this thread is current up to Oct 28, 2012

As of right now, I have the entire center dash section out of a 2012 sitting in my closet, and I have a double din kit for a 2012 dash on it's way, so that might be installed next weekend.

I also have a Cherry Bomb Extreme muffler on the way

Have a spare heater/AC control unit torn apart to change the lighting colors and also the bezel from silver to black. Also have a clock unit out of a 2009 that I'm going to change to all blue.

In the coming months, I'll be ditching the 20" wheels from some 16" TX Pro wheels; need to order a 4th and get two more tires first (and a spare the same size wouldn't hurt either )

Black interior will look ballin'

Also, those 16" rims are WAY sexier than those 20"s...
