??? Air Suspension - Canadian 4Runner ???

Hi Guys,

I am looking to change my 3rd gen for a 4t gen whithin the next months.

I want a 2006+ Limited with the v8.

All the trucks I found were equipped with the RAS (rear air suspension).

Do you guys know if it was possible to order the 4Runner v8 limited WITHOUT the RAS option in Canada ?

With all the salt we use around here, I don't want this option
Thanks
Frank

Not sure on buying then without it, but I will say it's pretty easy to swap to coils instead of the air bags.

You're right Ark, I already red your write-up.

But since I still have the choice to buy one without from the start (if it even exist ), I would prefer to skip this step and find a limited without the RAS option.

Any canadian out there with a v8 limited WITHOUT rear air spring ?

I'm pretty sure that they were not all equipped with RAS, but I could be wrong. However, my point is that I wouldn't let that be the deciding factor. If you find the right 4runner at the right price, go for it and don't let the RAS stop you.

I just bought a 2006 V8 last weekend in NB. I have been looking for a long time and only at Ltd's. Everyone I looked at had the RAS option. Some were as high as 160k km and the systems were still working. FYI, I saw some low km versions in Montreal when I was looking. Happy hunting.

^^^ Good For You Angstrom

I might keep mine for the winter season, but I am still looking in the local Kijiji and other sites to find a good deal.

as you said, all Limited I have seen were equipped with RAS.

I had to take mine out too. I had a bunch of problems with the RAS. Long story short, I ended up taking it out dropping in OMEs all around. Needless to say, the results were good.
