Finished my head gasket repair, got the engine together and the truck will start, run for a second or 2, then die. Almost like there is a sensor that makes it run that isn't picking up. Any thoughts?

 

The fuel pump isn't running after you let go of the key. The problem is in the COR circuit or the VAF (which is part of the COR circuit). You can diagnose it by jumpering FP to B+.

(You did reconnect the air intake, didn't you?)

 

ahhh, no I didn't hook up the air intake. will do that. You suggestion sounds like a winner.

 

hooked up the intake and away it went. It idles rough and I have a vacume leak, but I can get that sorted out. Thanks a million!
