Question Funky SR5 Instrument Cluster Fuel Gauge

After installing the SR5 Instrument Cluster in my 1987 Pickup the fuel gauge stays up after the ignition is turned off is this normal? and today when i filled up the truck with gas the gauge was still sitting bellow 1/4 tank before i turned the ignition on and when I turn on the key the gauge goes to full tank? is it most times that everytime you turn off the ignition the gauge goes down right? like all the other gauges?

Mine stays up when off and takes a little while for it to rise up after filling up.

Mine stays put when I turn the truck off. When I fill it up it takes about 1-2 minutes for the needle to go to full tank. IIRC it has to saturate the sensor which takes a minute. I have an 88 SR5 4Runner so same cluster.

Yes, they stay put when off. If you ever take the cluster apart it's important to remember where the needle was because it stays in place even with the cluster unplugged.
