need some shock advice

i'm trying to get cost of my plans for my 84 Toyota pickup down and i need some help with shocks. how do you figure out what length shocks you need to run with the amount of lift you have, and what are yall running????

Just installed a 4" lift. Needed 29" extended length shocks for enough travel. Had 27yr old stock ones on before.

Measure tape and cause I ordered 24" shocks at first and they were too short and bottomed out lol

so simply just remove your shocks, flex it and measure????

that is one way, yes. Most shocks will tell you extended length and collapsed length and you can decide how much extra inches you wanna add in case of future mods.

you need to remove your shocks and all but the main spring and cycle your suspension to measure.
