Dash lights stay on

I have a friend with a 08 Taco. Bare bones stock no power accs. just a/c. 4.0 auto.
At night he will park in his driveway shut his lights off and the truck off. If he keeps his foot on the brake the radio stays on as well as the dash lights. He lets off the brake they go out. Step back on the brake they come on again.
This does NOT have security or any power acc.
Any ideas?

never heard of that happening. I'd say take it to a dealership and let them have a look at it. did he just buy it or has it had it a while and it's just started happening?

electrical stuff like that isn't something to fool around it. weird quirks like that burn vehicles to the ground...
