got an 1983? 84? 22R engine(square intake, round exhaust, iron rockers, single row timing, etc.)w/less than 100k & I've torn it down to the crank after timing went out. I measured the main & rod journal diameters & checked oil clearances. They seem to be within tolerance, but I'm not sure how to determine wether to proceed with new parts or machine work. Do these bearing journals look to be OK for a new set of bearings? Is crank polish/grind absolutely necessary before new bearings? I was hoping to just slap a new set in there an call it good...we'll see.
