Rear Hitch on an 80

Hey y'all, hope everyone is doing well. Spent about an hour looking on here trying to find someone who has built a rear reciever hitch setup for an 80. I have looked for a while, but have not found one for sale by a company. I like the truck with the no rear bumper look, so a hidden type hitch would be great. I'm sure it's fairly easy to make, but working in heating and air this time of year equals almost 60 hour weeks. Any ideas or links would be welcome. Thanks

Ok, I have found this one... http://www.thehitchstore.com/class-i...tch-p-689.html from curt. This hitch is offered for an 85 which begs the question, is the spacing of the frame rails the same from 80 to 85? If anyone happens to have a spec sheet, it'd be worth its weight in gold.

I hear you about the 60 hour weeks!!

I really don`t think I have ever seen a chart listings the different frame sizes .

About the best thing is to measure yours and post then compare with other years.

you should already have holes in the rear of the frame to bolt the receiver hitch to.Laying out and Drilling the holes is the hardest part after that it is just figuring out what you want.

If anyone made a off the shelf hitch for that year truck if the frames are different then the IFS trucks It is no doubt long gone.

Good luck finding time to make your own!!
