Hydrolocked 1990 22re, Guidance please

Hey, the other day i hydrolocked my 1990 pickup 22re, i removed the plugs, cranked the motor, changed the oil, there was alot of water in the oil, water came out of the plug for about 5 seconds before oil started flowing. i got the motor running and everything, i cleaned the intake, dried the filter, cleaned the spark plugs, changed the oil again after getting the oil hot, the oil was still discolored and everything, the idle is a little rough but i dont hear anything knockin or anything, can i get any other suggestions for post hydrolock maintenace/checks. much appreciated.

1) Snorkel if you're gonna be driving through water.

2) change the oil again until its back to normal

Engine coolant is fine.

Just beware, I threw #4 rod not too long after hydrolocking mine, but that engine had 335k on it too.

Is your truck at stock ride height? I drove through a 1 and half yesterday and made it ok, I was concerned about this same problem happening. Keep changing that oil, and the idle gets better

shes got a little lift and bigger tires, i hit the puddle harder than i should have, ive noticed some white smoke coming out at the exaust manifold, not sure what that meens, ill keep changin the oil and hope everything smooths out, i really hope i got lucky with this one but im doubting it.

Mine bent #4 rod and a valve. I lucked out, I sunk the entire front of my truck up to the valve cover. thankful that I didn't crack a head in the river. I would look into possibly a dirty injector I know my truck was previously rebuilt by my bro-in-law from sinking it and he had to redo all 4 of them. So you might have one slightly dying.
