Hey everyone! So my 4Runner is slowly coming along, still need to put up a build thread gonna shoot for that this weekend. Anywho, I'm starting to throw my interior back together and my stock dash in pretty cracked up and my carpet, is well Defreakingstroyed! Its about time to order me a dash mat and carpet, but cant decide on what color to get that will look good with the factory gray. Thinking of ordering from Stylintrucks.com, and the normal gray looks to light, so I'm at a debate between a darker gray and black. Opinions anyone?

 

Have you tried to get another dash from the yard?

 

Tough call... I would lean towards the darker gray instead of black, because black will make the interior just that much hotter on a sunny day.

 

Ya. Our local yard wont let you go out and look anymore, plus there overpriced. 2 hours away from me there's 3 big yards. One for imports, one for domestics, and a pull and save. The import yard they let you go with the workers and see the product before they pull it, never had luck there. The pull and save there's stock dash's, but there usually destroy from someones lack of patients to get to something else. I look every time I go up for parts, heck sometimes that's the only reason me and my buddy go up there, along with Cabelas! I did score a nice pair of front seats and a one piece rear seat, giving the fact there brown, but they work for now and they only cost me 30 bucks!

For now I was just gonna buy a mat until something came along, probably wouldn't be a bad idea on a good dash anyways. My old 86 had a dash mat cause the kid before tried to patch his cracks with what honestly looked like toilet paper, ironic I know! The mat grew on me a lot.

 

Well guys I think I'm gonna go with the dark grey. Also got a company to send me some color samples for a full molded carpet kit. Gonna se what I like best and pull the trigger.
