4Runner Seats

I have a 97 4Runner Limited and I am looking to replace the front seats. Does anyone know if all 3rd generation'ers use the same seats or did they make changes through the years? I just need to know if I have to stick with 97 models or can I look at the entire line of the 3rd generation? Will seats from the other models fit and operate? (power seats)

Thanks

They are all interchangeable. Leather seats got more features but the mounts stayed the same.

With those added features, did the electrical plugs and so on change? I have leather power seats now and I would like for the replacements to function properly too.

I'm not too sure on that but since limited got heated seats in 2000 and I think Power Lumbar in 99 they will have a little more complex harness. Noting you should be able to tap something else for power though.

Some of us went in different directions when we couldn't find 4Runner seats. If you get into that try the search button for other ideas.

I am definitely open to that. If so, I would prefer to find front and rear so they all match but my first agenda is to find any type of decent replacement for the front seats.

Thanks

I'm in the same boat as you.
leather is cracked pretty bad under my seat covers, and now the drivers bracket/frame is creaking really badly in turns...time to replace the whole thing.

thinking of going to junkyards and looking at 2000 or 2001's for seats/brackets in better condition...
