I finally got my engine running nice after the rebuild.
i was about to take it for a spin, and put it on drive and nothing happened...
none of the gears worked.. Im not sure what could be wrong, again...

Did you fix your problem? I'm having the same thing with mine, when I shift the selector to D or any other gear nothing happens.

Probably a dumb question but..Did your transmission shift into drive or just the lever/indicator? Is the shift cable connected?

I ask because you said you just rebuilt the engine...it makes sense to me to check that first

Another dumb question, did you bolt the torque converter back up?

I fixed the issue. My dumbass didnt know that ur suppossed to instal the converter in tranny 1st and then mount the engine, since this was my 1st time messing with an auto tranny I didnt now, so I put converter on engine first and then jamed it on the tranny. Turns out I busted 2 spines that are on the oil pump. So I guess it couldnt generate pressure for gears to engage. I went to my local junk yard and got an used pump for about 20 bucks and bought a new pump seal. Put everything back and boom! I was on the road again......also this truck wont run unless it has enough oil in tranny for people having same isse. I also had my converter rebuild just in case for 40 bucks..
