Josh843 1992 pickup DLX build up thread

Ok here we go

Recently purchased a new (to me) pickup. A 1992 pickup dlx regcab with the 22re.it ran for a couple of weeks... Then the timing chain failed. I have currently put new plugs, wires, rotor,cap, air filter, coil, and an igniter off of a 91 part struck my buddy has. This weekend I'm diving in and doin the timing chain with a new cover,oil and water pumps, clutch, universal joints, radiator, goin through the head and replacing all seals and gaskets on top of the motor, also orderd the shifter bushing and seat from marlin crawler, hopefully that will take all slop away from the shifter. I know I might have bent a valve possibly when the timing chain failed and another member has said to check the cam, but is there anything else I should check or do while im into the motor. It has "198" k miles, but the clock was broken when I bought itso who knows. I had all the oil and fluids checked already and changed and everything re-greased at the local lube shop. Also purchased off eBay a few interior trim pieces and the digi clock, I'm goin to another friend who's family owns a body shop and junk yard to rob some parts for free! Score! My goal by the way is to return this diamond in the rough back to factory as close ask can. Pics coming soon!

Let's see some pic-ama-tures!

Good luck finding Yota parts in the junkyards. If your junkyards are anything like the ones near me, the pickings are slim. A pickup could arrive one day and within a week the whole thing could be gutted

I hear ya man, he says he has a couple pickups and a few 4runners so well see, hopefully I can get most my interior, anyone ever swapped a 4runner interior into a pickup? Like seats and console with the shifter trim and a map light, I've heard the 2 door 4runner door panels will fit the pickup doors, I found some on this olathetoyota.com website <--- also really good for part numbers and exploded diagrams! for like 500-600 bucks just for panels only, but they're new from factory.... would be really sweet though.. power windows and locks and mirrors. Anyone know of someone successfuly attempting this? Pics arw comin, for some reason I can't do it from my phone and comp is not co-operating at the moment, LOL but its rough to be nice.

Go to imageshack.com and make an account. Upload the pictures there. Right click on the picture to get the image URL. Come back here and do the [IMG] code stuff in your post.

You got me I use photobuck, don't have any problems from the start, try photobucket, real easy download pics to the main photo album hit the green upload box at the very top or make another album which I did for Yotatech pics only, once downloaded go to that one album and hover above the thumbnails don't click yet, and when the menu pops up slide down to the bottom and click on the IMB code when the arrow turns into a hand and click on the link, it'll say copied and go to the post you making on yotatech then hight click and hit paste and waa laa it's done.

To make pics smaller you have to click on the pic of the thumbnail and when big pic pops up go to the upper part and a munu will pop up across the top and go to resize and a menu will pop down and the perfect size to click on is the 640x480 and it'll pop up "Your about to resize this pic, click ok and that's it on the pic resize, Good Luck and have fun :}

Boom all done, just like that!!!!

Ps. If doing bulk uploads click on the bulk upload tab in blue!
