22repower 93 Single Cab 4x4

I don't feel like studying for finals yet so may as well start a build thread

Here it is when we got it last fall for 700 bucks
didn't run, but as you can see the body is pretty darn good for Illinois

After this I found 22re from a 2wd in silvis for $400 and picked her up
Pulled the oil pan to swap for a 4wd, and got some nice plastic surprises, so I put an enblder steel backed timing set in, and swapped a few sensors out, then the rig got a new heart, didn't run into any issues putting it in, but we had some practice on my 94 from a couple years back.

Got all together, and found we weren't getting fuel so we pulled the bed and swapped out the fuel pump

After some convincing and a different afm, the dormant 22re showed signs of life. At first it was only hittin on a couple cylinders, but eventually they all cleared out and it ran ok with some pretty good misses here and there. It got better, but it was having a terrible hot start problem, and turned out to have a leaky injector. With a few parts changes she ran like a top.

A rusted frame, useless brakes, and $300 equals another spare motor and tons upon tons of parts

I had a 97 2-door Cherokee with a 3 inch lift and 30x9.50 tires I took to badlands, but the gas mileage sucked so I sold it and bought a 89 Honda Civic...I love Toyota trucks more for some reason, this is my third and the best one :}

This is my extended cab when I was 15 (needless to say it doesn't look like that now)

Both of them are in really good shape! Also, what did you use to paint your lower valance. Was it just rattle can red or was it color matched and the whole she-bang? I was thinking about painting mine.

Its too bad the ex-cab doesn't still look like it did then, dings, dents, rust, and hard use have taken their toll......
It finally looked like this last year

Now its in semi retirement stripped of all its cool stuff and lookin kinda rough

What do you guys think of using used xj coil springs for about 2" of lift in the rear?
From what I've read they are about 145# and 17"
