2000 4runner 4x4 suspension help
Hello everyone,
After replacing the shocks, lower ball joints and upper and lower control arm bushings and rack and pinon on my 2000 4runner highlander edition with 170,000 miles, I'm curious if I need to replace my rear springs as well.
The rake from front to back is minimal, almost level or a tad higher in the back measuring from the bottom of the running boards. The vehicle seems to hit the bump stops over speed bumps. Is this normal? Also, if not, which springs should I put in. I'm looking to restore to oem as I do a majority of my driving on the highway and was going to get OEM from the dealer.
Thanks
Mike

OEM is the best for your application and will help ur toyota go long and farther, normally your rear suspension shouldnt hit your bump stops, your best bet is to replace the rear shocks, blisten seems to be everyones favortie and have the best reviews and ride comfort. hope this helps

I've replaced the rear shocks with kyb gas adjusts less than 100 miles on them. The rear doesn't sag as it is level but can't the springs get weak without sagging? should the rear sag with say 120 lbs in the back?
Thanks everyone!
Thanks everyone!
