Bumper Cut Out?

so i had this idea for my front plate bumper to cut out the words "riot maker" and then put a piece of plexi glass behind it and add a couple LED strips so that at night ill be riding down the road and people will clearly see my trucks a riot maker... my problem is im not sure if its legal and i cant find it anywhere saying that it is or isnt. i live in mass and have checked everywhere except acctually asking people at the town hall someone wanna help me out? thanks guys

Most often though every state is different.

Looking up the department of motor vehicles vehicle code will get you the answers you want.

It also may be one of those things that falls under if it causes other people problems. With on coming glare etc.

Some officer just doesn`t like the way it looks could get you a ticket.

whatever floats your boat...like to draw attention to yourself?
you are probably good to go as long as you don't use red or blue.
Why not just ask the state police? you might also want to check into local Sign codes as this might be considered a bill board.

Regardless of whether you can legally do it or not..

.... Don't.

one way to make sure u wont blind or bug other drivers with lights or something put them at the top and aim them down in line with the plexi and it will light it up and not have any blinding issues. but hey take some pics when u do it...

If you're going to do it, sand the plexiglass so it isn't clear. Diffuses the light like crazy.. Look around at computer case modders and see what those guys are doing - a cold cathode light would work well for what you want to do - though they aren't terribly strong.. a LED strip would work really well too.

I'm saying no because that kinda name.. "riot maker" is almost as cool as my neighbor with spray painted tint (EVERYWHERE) with a huge "MONSTER MIKE" on his window, and Monster stickers all over his truck. It just brings the wrong kind've attention to you - in my opinion.

I grew up in MA - moved to Maine 10 years ago and I am EXTREMELY thankful for that!!!
But to the topic - I found, in my growing up in MA, that ANYTHING that 'calls you out' is only 'calling you out' in a negative way.

I guess, go for it, sounds cool and all that ..... if you like to spend a lot of time on the side of the road with flashing blue lights behind you while they 'run your information' for about 1/2 hour.....everyone here appreciates the work and individuality you're wanting to do, but they are trying to help you not be pulled over every 2 miles, LOL.

Seriously though, don't.
Unless of course, you wear Tapout hats, shirts, and shorts. Then by all means.

Sounds really retarded in my honest opinion. Why waste your time when you could buy sliders or a locker with that money?

Go > show.

A cut out of "toyota" would be kinda neat, but "Riot Maker" is almost as cool as the confederate flag, TAPOUT or Monster logos everywhere.

The thing I always thought looked really cool was on Seth's "Deathrunner" - his dash carpet has "DeathRunner" engraved in it - above the glove box area.. Looks really clean and neat. I wouldn't plaster it across my back window - but something that isn't so "look at me" would be nice

first of all, it would be free because im getting all of these materials for free except the lights, and yeah i know what you mean, it is a little too showy but as long as its legal i might do it and just see how it looks, if i dont like it then ill just weld a plate over it or something
