Hey guys!

I bought a 1990 Pickup dlx with a 4in IFS lift, and 4in shackles with 54" chevy leaf springs a couple months ago. It had 32x12.5x15 Tsl Super Swampers on it when I bought it, but they were all at the wear bar. I bought a set of Kelly Safari Trex (31x10.5x15) and they are just to small and more of an on road tire. I primarily use my truck on the road during the week, but do hardcore off-roading/rock crawling on the weekends. I live in CO so I need something decent in the snow as well.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a good tire for rocks (slick rock too), snow and road? Sub $200 if possible, or do they even exist?

Im running 33x12.50/15's They are BFG KM2's. Amazing tires both on and off road. On road they are very quiet and wear very well. Off road they conform to rocks good. The sidewall tread actually works well. They also clear out mud nicley.

Goodyear MTR kevlars.

 

Don't waste your time, go with 33x10.5 BF Goodrich KM2's.

Best tire i've ever owned.

 

If goodyear built a 33/10.5/15 I would suggest the MT-R. Way better in the snow then the KM2 is, and they wear a little nicer as well.

Good luck with the sidewalls that are as strong as an all-terrain tire.

Oh wait, you don't wheel hard enough to need strong sidewalls. So, mediocrity is okay.

 

Actually, I need strong side walls for the wheeling that I do. Already punctured one. That is why I said hardcore off-roading/rock crawling, not trail driving.

Definitely leaning towards the MT/R with Kevlar...

Also, I forgot to mention, I am looking for a 33x9-12.5x15 not to particular of the width, unless there is something I should now about which is better and why lol.

from what i was told a wider tire pinches the bead more assuming wheel width remains the same.

 

Dick Cepek Fun Country II Radials. They are designed from the Armstrong Norseman Radials. They are good in sand, mud, rocks and are quiet on the street. I switched to the Cepeks after Armstrong went out of business. I ran 33-12.50x15 Norsemans for 100,000 miles and Cepeks should go for at least 60,000 miles.
